Alhamdulillah

Finally 2023 is here.. I had been hiatus for almost a year because 2022 were a rough year for me. To me, there were a lot of up and down for me from my career prospect, my business venture, my personal life and more. As I will share some of my life in 2022, I hope that 2022 have grown me into a better me in 2023. As I want 2023 to be good, I really hope that my life will turn the way I have plan.

Family Wise

I am very grateful that my family have been supportive of me in 2022 and I have given my best to ensure that my family will receive my full support in the year of 2023. Nothing much have changed in 2022 for my family, just that we are able to live our life to the fullest while enjoying the year with a blast.

Career Wise

I have decided to change my job twice in the year and I am glad that I left both company because I cannot stand the toxicity in the management and how they handled their operations as whole. To be honest, they really need to buck up and see how the operations work from bottom up. Yes, I have a fair share of how the people who are working with me really are. Some are trying to be bossy and some trying to climb the corporate ladder in an unexpected ways. I felt disgusted on how these people are working as I have been in the retail scene for almost a decade. This shows that I am able to work with some sane people only. But I wished them best of luck because I want them to know that it ain't easy to get the replacement and to lose me is a great loss to them. So 2023, it will be a new me and new career opportunities.

Relationship Wise

Till now, I am not ready to have any relationship because I have enough of broken relationship with the people I used to know or date. I have already been out of the dating scene for almost 3 years and ongoing as I want to focus on myself and my future first. I know that one day, I will eventually settled down and my life will be complete by then but for now, I guess that I have a lot to achieve in my life before embarking into another adventure with my new partner. Yes, my parents have been asking me to find someone that I love as I am getting older each year but for sure, I have told them that the time will eventually come one day. Jodoh di tangan Tuhan (Marriage fate in the hands of God). Now being single is a great way to start 2023..

Business Wise

Yummi Epok have been with me and my mum for 2 years. I am very fortunate that I am able to get endless support from my regular and new customers. I know I will keep doing this because it is part of my life and the earnings I get is for my mum's retirement. I am doing this because I cannot rely my main income and doing this as a side hustle. I am very grateful that 2023 will be a better year for my business to expand in terms of more client and more exposure in all the social media that I am currently handling. Once the business have prosper well, I will focus more into how to expand my business or collaborate with other business venture. I prayed to Allah that 2023 will be an amazing year for me and my business.

Resolution 2023:

1) Independent- make wise decisions
2) Expand Yummi Epok
3) Fit/Healthy (End of 2023)
4) New Job Career
5) Launching New Business
6) To fulfill by end of 2023- Insyaallah

The resolution list may not be exhaustive as for now, I would like to focus on myself and my business in order to be sure that 2023 will be good for me and my family. Life may not goes as planned but with the help of Allah, I am sure that I can do my best to live my life to the fullest and better from the past years. Thank You 2022.. Welcome 2023..

30TH}

 Alhamdulillah.

September is my favourite month of  the year as it is my birthday. Turning 30 this month of the year made me realise that it is a start of something new for me in the future. I have to say that I have yet to accomplish some of my goals in life and hope to do so real soon. I am very grateful to live the life that I want to but I know at some point of time, there will be always obstacles that need to be conquer. Once again, thanks Allah for giving me an opportunities to live life to the fullest.

For my 30th, I have booked two staycation for myself to celebrate my 30th birthday by myself. I have put a day to celebrate with my family and friends. Booked Grand Hyatt Hotel, the hotel is situated beside Far East Plaza. Oh yes, there is an outgoing promotion for the hotel itself. So booked yours before the promotion end. With the Singapore Red Discovery voucher, I only paid less than $200. What a bargain to begin with.

As it was my birthday, I was upgraded to the suite. Yes, it was big for me as I am alone but who cares, it is just me and my alone time. Checked in at 3pm, shopping around Orchard, bought some packed food for dinner while watching Netflix at night. Fell asleep around 12am but not to scare you at this point of time.

Woke up at 2plus as I heard something jumping across my body thrice in a row and behind my back, I could feel that something touched me. My hair stand literally and of course I shouted so loud till my mobile phone dropped on the floor. I braved myself and see the surrounding but there is nothing. I know I am brave and strong enough to think otherwise so I can get my sleep. I guess the room is huge and I am alone at that point of time so my mind went berserk. Luckily, I am able to have my sweet beauty sleep till the next morning.

As I am not the morning person, I woke up at 9am just to have my breakfast at MCD. Oh, I did not include the breakfast from the hotel because the breakfast served for two and it ain't worth it. So had my breakfast and sipping my coffee as usual while waiting to check out for the day. I would give 8/10 as the service was fast but just that, the hotel needs to upgrade as it is quite old. Have fun with my first staycation.

18 September: Went to Resort World Sentosa with my parents and sister to celebrate my birthday. It was super hot day and I cannot stand it literally. Reached at Sentosa around 10am before going to the Trick Eye Museum, not so happening as it is but manage to snap some pictures as a memory. Shockingly, not a lot of people in the morning but glad that we managed to finish by 11am before going for MCD breakfast. Yes, the only place that I will go that is cheap. 12pm, we went to Madame Tussauds and I found it interesting because it is more entertaining than the Trick Eye Museum.

My parents were very happy and managed to have more fun than me. Took around 2 hours before going for lunch at Marrybrown. The food is mediocre and I won't go back again. It will be the last time I will eat there. Proceed to try on the Segway while my parents rent bicycle to cycle around Sentosa. We had a lot of fun and guess what, it is already 4pm and suddenly the crowd around the beaches is massive. So we decided to go back and have a rest. It was enjoyable for the day as the last time I went was 3 years back. Time sure flies.

19th September: Head to the gym to exercise and it was raining that day. Oh well, managed to do some exercise. Rushed back home as I need to meet Kai for my birthday lunch. Went to The Fabolous Baker Boy to eat steak and cake. The steak was huge and I shared with Kai, did not manage to finish it because we are both full. Something happened, while eating the cake, the cake dropped on the table, what a waste but who cares, we just ate it because the cake is expensive to begin with.

Kai bought me a gift and appreciate it. I do not expect any gift because I value friendship with all my besties. I have known Kai since my army days and I am glad that we are still in contact. I hope our friendship will lasts forever. Went shopping at Orchard and drank coffee while gossiping about our life and what is life after 30. Oh well, a fun day before waiting for my second staycation on the next day.

20-21 September: Booked at Mandarin Orchard for my second staycation. Reached at 1.30pm but I have to queue. Unexpectedly, there is a lot of people booked the hotel on the freaking Monday. I am shocked to begin with but managed to check in at 2pm, thanks to the fast service from the receptionist. I was upgraded to Premier Room and glad the room was spacious, not that huge as compared to Grand Hyatt. As there is an ongoing construction, I  have to walk like in a maze to reach to my room.

Oh well, feeling hungry, I went for my lunch at Paragon (Soup Spoon), feeling healthy while waiting to meet Kai in the evening to have fun and went shopping alone but I think I have enough of buying so I decided to do my manicure and pedicure. Loving my nail.. Went back to Netflix while waiting for Kai till I felt asleep for like an hour. Had dinner at So Pho and once again, gossip about anything under the star. Went back to hotel and play Just Dance till midnight. Kai went back home and time for me to sleep after a long day. I think staycation made me felt very tired as compared on normal days. Checked out the next day and went home.

One week of my birthday was fun and I hope that I can enjoy it again but for now, time to go back to work. I hate to be back to work but what to do, no work no money.. So I have summed up my 30th birthday in Singapore; before the pandemic, I have planned to go Japan for my 30th but what to do, celebrating in Singapore. That is all for September post.. Do support my epok epok business. Remember this: Everyday is a blessing for you and me.
